James started his re/insurance career 30 years ago at Lloyd’s of London. Moving to Eastern Europe in 2007, James became Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of CertAsig Insurance Company until 2018. In 2019, James co-founded CEE Specialty, an MGA targeting older tonnage H&M in the Black & Med Seas region as well as Czech/Slovak non-marine surety and liability risks. James holds a degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Edinburgh and Ecole Sup?rieure d’Agriculture, France. James is both a proud British and Romanian citizen, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, a board member of the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce and a former board member of the Romanian Catastrophe Insurance Pool (PAID).
